Sensation Innerspace Dance Event| Sensation White | Johannesburg

On September 7 Sensation will be making its South African debut with its themed show ‘Innerspace’ at the Coca-Cola Dome in Johannesburg.

Sensation Innerspace South Africa

What is it? A massive dance event pure and simple, but one that is a massive upscale from what we in South Africa are used to.

The show..

“ show all about spirituality. Let us take you on a journey through the seven stages of enlightenment. Be amazed by the labyrinth of white balloons hanging from the ceiling, the immense lotus flowers and the spectacular aerial dancers”

Sensation Innerspace is a spiritual experience, an adventurous journey throughout the seven stages of enlightenment. Ignore your daily worries, let go of all stress and open your mind to a higher state of consciousness. Don’t think about the past, don’t think about the future, celebrate and enjoy the now. Partake in this collective spiritual experience with kindred spirits, all united and dressed in white.”

I am truly gutted this show is not coming to Cape Town as by the video’s its looks to sell itself as an event that verge’s on the religious enlightenment side of things, with some banging DJ’s, stage props, trapeze acts, dancer….you name.

Watch a few of these vids…you’ll be gagging.

Jay-Z Heading for South Africa..maybe

Jay-Z coming to South Africa

Word on the street is that Jay-Z has announced that South Africa will be included on his world tour to which will also be used by the man to spread awareness for the worlds water crisis.

This is according to Billboard, which list’s his SA dates as below

Oct. 11: Cape Town, South Africa (Belleville Velodrome)
Oct. 13: Durban, South Africa (ABSA Stadium Outer Fields)
Oct. 14: Johannesburg (Coca Cola Dome)

Exciting stuff, not official till Computicket says so, and by all accounts, they’re saying shit.

(even Durban is getting a look-in…must be a typo)

Utopia Music Festival 2013 taking place at Nekkies in Rawsonville

Not all is lost with Freedom Day taking place over the weekend, stealing a weekday public holiday away from us laymen. The Utopia Music Festival taking place at Nekkies in Rawsonville is sure to bring some good vibes to Freedom Day celebrations regardless

Taking place from the 26th April 28th April, The Utopia Music Festival couldn’t have come at a better time with winter taking a small hiatus.

Baldy good-looking line-up as well. Bit late notice but if nothing much is happening this weekend it’s worth a dabble.

Snoop Dogg, Snoop Lion, Lion Dogg, whatever name this lanky oke decides to call himself doesn’t take away from the fact that this legendary hip-hop artist will be touching down in South Africa this coming May for two gig’s. the first in Johannesburg on the 19th May with the Cape Town gig set for the 21st May.

Snoop Dogg in South Africa

This Californian native won’t just be bringing his love of the ‘erb’ to our fair shores, although…I’m sure he’ll be trying the local blends. The dogg will surely be treating his audiences to some off his biggest hit’s, such as  ‘Drop it like it’s hot’, ‘California Girls’ & ‘Gin & Juice’.

Tickets can be found at Computicket with prices ranging from R550 – R320.

Marilyn Manson is the faceman for Saint Laurent

Yup I did a massive double take on this as well. Nut job, goth rocker, wacko,  Marilyn Manson (who took his name from two American icons, Marilyn Monroe and Charles Manson….ya) has apparently joined up with fashion design house Saint Laurent to front up a few of their campaigns

Now this

Cant say I understand fashion but jeeeeeeeeeeeeeez.
